On my way!

The season has officially begun! Well, at least the flights to the first tournament... OKC-Denver and Denver-LAX were pieces of cake! The 13 hour flight between LAX and Auckland might be a bit more challenging for someone who doesn't enjoy sitting still :) But on the other hand, that flight will make the one between Auckland and Christchurch seem like a breeze!

I've been trying to figure out how to plan my flight - do I try to sleep first or should I stay awake as long as possible? I checked the local time over there and I'm leaning towards drinking lots of coffee before boarding the flight and then sleep the second half of it. The time difference isn't too bad actually - it's just a few hours earlier, but a day later (if that makes any sense at all...)

I'm going to be gone for quite a few weeks and packed my Kindle and randomly grabbed two Swedish books from the book shelf. But I made a mistake - one of the two books has fairly large print and the header and footer are HUGE! I'm a few hours into my trip and am more than halfway through the book already. Think the Kindle will get quite a bit of usage during the next 33 days!

I'm lucky enough to have "fancy status" with Star Alliance and get to enjoy the airport lounges during my layovers. Unfortunately Mimmi Hjorth has chosen to support a different airline, so it's time for me to try to get her into the lounge. Broken English might do the trick this time :)

Hi Karin,

Great blog! Not sure how you ladies handle all the travel! I enjoy hearing the travel stories of the ladies on tour. During those long flights, you should consider writing your own book about your travel experiences!

Best of luck to you in New Zealand Women's Open and Women's Australian Open. I'll be watching your progress!

I am scrambling to put the finishing touches on my website that I've created--doing my little part to generate interest in the LPGA and in the amazing players in the LPGA. I'd be honored if you took a look at the LPGA Fantasy Golf site that I created, and pass the word on to your fans. Make sure they have the opportunity to pick you for their fantasy team!
