I'm now back in Stillwater after spending a couple of days in Augusta, Georgia, enjoying the Masters! What a place! The course that is, not the town.... :)
They keep mentioning on TV how hilly the course is and how undulated the greens are, but I could not believe it when I saw it! Hilly and undulated doesn't even start to explain the place! And the condition of the course is out of this world! AMAZING!
Augusta National is just as pretty in real life as it is on TV, but I always imagined it to be a "bigger" place. There are no long walks between holes and you can walk from the clubhouse to any hole in just a few minutes. And I do have to say that it looks a lot tighter on TV than it does in real life. For example, the 18th tee shot looks fairly impossible on TV, but when I was standing behind the tee box it looked a lot less difficult. But it would probably take me three shots to get to the green - the guys hit it sooooooo far...
Time to get back to practice again. Heading to Hawaii on Saturday - back to Ko Olina, where we played my first two years on tour. Should be fun!!!
