My week in Carlsbad didn't go the way I wanted. Or to be more specific, my round on Thursday did not live up to expectations. I had a really hard time finding the fairways, which is a bad thing when the rough is long, thick and juicy. A shoulder adjustment on the range after the round fixed the problem (I was setting up way open...) and my ball striking was back on Friday. I shot 78-72 to miss the cut by one.....
This week's event is the Kraft Nabisco Championship - our first major of the year! I played my way into the field thanks to my finish in Phoenix and I'm really excited to be here! The Palm Springs area is beautiful and we're getting seriously spoiled at Mission Hills Country Club!
I had quite the uneventful round today - 16 pars, one birdie and one bogey. I was hitting it really well and my putting was a lot better than the stats show. My speed was great and I continuously burned the edges of the holes. I spent some time on the practice green after the round and I hope the putts will fall for me tomorrow!
