Year 2010 is coming to an end and the golf season ended last week with the LPGA Tour Championship in Orlando, Florida. It’s been hard for me to find a rhythm in my game this season. Some weeks have felt really good, but I haven’t been able to maintain my game over our breaks. Next year’s schedule is looking a lot like it did this year, but I will hopefully play my way into the limited field events in Asia and also learn how to stay on top of my game during the lay-offs, which should lead to a higher spot on the money list in the end of 2011! Finishing 76th isn’t anything to be ashamed of, but my goals are set a lot higher than that and I know that I have the game to back them up! I just have to show it on the course next year!
The main areas of improvement for next year are still putting, chipping and my wedge game. I will always work hard on improving the swing for better control and consistency, but I know that I have loads of strokes to save within 100 yards of the hole. The good thing is that I’ve now realized that it’s fun to practice the short game! It puts a big smile on my face every time I go out on the course and notice that the work I put in on the putting green has paid off! Seeing the ball roll on its line with perfect speed is awfully rewarding!
