Delsjö Ladies Open

I'm happy to announce that Linda Wessberg and I will be hosting an event on the Swedish Nordea Tour next year! The tournament takes place at my home course, Delsjö GK, and the name will be "Delsjö Ladies Open hosted by Karin Sjödin & Linda Wessberg"

A move up for me - we co-hosted a junior event last year named "Wessberg & Sjödin Open", but this time the order of our names seems a lot more accurate :)

It's a huge honor to be asked to host an event like this one! Delsjö GK did so much for me during my amateur years and I wouldn't have been where I am today without them. In Sweden, anyone can become a great golfer thanks to individual golf clubs and the Swedish Golf Federation. Parents alone don't have to carry the financial burden of a junior golfer's playing schedule - the golf clubs help a ton! I guess it's about time for me to pay them back, and if I can help in any way with the Delsjö Ladies Open I'm happy to do so!

The Nordea Tour is where most of the Swedish players start their careers. It's a professional tour, but they let the top amateurs play and it's a great place to learn about the profession! The tour offers good juniors an opportunity to play against better players and thereby hone their skills before leaving the amateur ranks.
I played quite a bit on this tour before leaving for Oklahoma State University and took home one title in 2000!
